Special Event…
On Thursday, February 11, 2010, world renowned Master Storyteller Mr. Jim Weiss will be coming to Hawes through the generosity of the REF. Mr. Weiss came to Hawes last year and was warmly received an appreciated by all. His storytelling enthralled the students and teachers alike. Mr. Weiss will be working with children all day, until 2:00 when he will be having a special discussion for parents on storytelling.
All parents/guardians are invited to spend an hour from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with Mr. Weiss on Thursday, February 11. You won’t be disappointed!

Last year Hawes School had an astounding 98% participation rat in the Ridgewood Public Library's Reading Marathon.
Hawes students, teachers, and staff also earned more than 400 medals and raised $1400 for the public library!
